This is a kind of evergreen tree which bears black fruits and white or greenish-white flowers. Medicinally, the fruits are believed to be helpful especially to the nerve centers, the eyes, the five viscera, the loins and the navel. The leaves are given in the relief of colds, congestion, swellings, dizziness, and headaches.
