Commonly known as Shou Wu / 首烏.
Translation Dr. Ger : H-345 - (Ho-shou-wu) - "Polygom malliflori radix".
He Shou Wu / 何首烏 usually refers to the prepared product (Zhi He Shou Wu / 制何首乌). The unprepared herb has almost no tonifying properties, which is specified as Sheng He Shou Wu / 生何首乌.
The vine of He Shu Wu is known as Ye Jiao Teng / 夜交藤 or Shu Wu Teng / 首烏藤 (Polygoni Multiflori Caulis).
